Welcome! Sounds like you're off to a pretty strong start. I was playing a lot longer than you before I ever saw 400 million. CCP Guard | EVE Community Developer |-á@ccp_guard |

As a fan of the market trading profession, I'd be curious to know what the OP was buying and selling to make his first 400 million. CCP Guard | EVE Community Developer |-á@ccp_guard |

Telling this to everybody in a public thread (with dev badges, no less) doesn't seem like a great idea to me - unless it was generic trading. Finding specific items that can be bought & sold for a good profit are better kept private ;) Good times - I remember making my first serious amount of money (back when 100 mil was still a huge amount of ISK) flying my trusty Iteron IV for dozens of jumps, trading mostly NPC trade goods.
Yeah, it may be best not to go into too many specifics if you've still got a good thing going .
Personally I made a bit of money back in the day by trading in named launchers, named ballistic controls, named turrets and similar stuff. The margin on that stuff was decent back then but as more people figured it out, the margin became too thin for my tastes. Bought the stuff all over the place and collected it once a week or so and put it up for sale in a trade hub. Had lot of fun doing it for the same reasons I like fishing probably...putting out the bait and waiting for someone to bite has it's charm
Margin trading is rightfully known as a good way to make money these days, but maybe somewhat underrated as a fun way to make money. CCP Guard | EVE Community Developer |-á@ccp_guard |
